Choose matte for a calm, glare-free, professional look that is easy to write on. Choose gloss when your design has photos or bright colours you want to pop. If your cards will be handled a lot, choose a laminated version of either: an 18pt card that resists scuffs and moisture. Want gloss and a place to write? A writable card is coated on the front and plain on the back.

File setup tipsFile setup tips for business cards
- Size. 3.5″ × 2″ horizontal or 2″ × 3.5″ vertical. Raised Spot UV cards also come in 2.5″ × 2.5″.
- Bleed. Add 1/16″ (0.0625″) on every side, so the file is 3.625″ × 2.125″. Each card's page has templates you can download.
- Safe area. Keep names, numbers and logos well inside the trim line, and avoid thin borders near the edge: a border close to the trim can look off-centre.
- Colour. Set up the file in CMYK with images at 300 dpi. For black text, use 100% black only (C0 M0 Y0 K100).
- Fonts and images. Outline all text, embed images (no linked images) and send one PDF with all pages the same size.
- Spot UV and foil. Send a separate file that marks where the Spot UV or foil goes. Spot UV can shift by about 1/16″, so keep it off small text.
- Bleed: your background runs 1/16″ past the cut on every side.
- Trim: where we cut the card.
- Safe area: keep text and logos inside this line.

Should I choose matte or glossy business cards?
Choose matte for a calm, glare-free, professional look that is easy to write on. Choose gloss if your design has photos or bright colours you want to stand out. If your cards get handled a lot, pick Matte Lamination or Gloss Lamination: 18pt cards that resist scuffs.
What are your cheapest business cards?
Value Business Cards: 14pt uncoated, printed on both sides, from $28.88 for 250 before tax. Writable UV Gloss cards start at $31.52 for 250, and Kraft Paper cards start at $32.11 for 100.
How fast can I get business cards?
Value Business Cards take 2–4 business days, or the next business day for 25% more. Other cards take 3–8 business days, and rounded corners add a day on some cards. Production starts when you approve your proof and does not include shipping.
What is the minimum order?
250 cards for most types. Kraft Paper, Waterproof, Raised Spot UV and Metallic Foil cards start at 100. Several cards go up to 25,000; for larger runs, ask for a custom quote.
Can I write on my business cards?
Yes on uncoated cards (Value, Enviro, Kraft Paper and Linen) and on Matte cards. Writable UV Gloss and Writable AQ cards have a coated front and an uncoated back for appointments and notes. Gloss, laminated, soft touch and foil cards are not made for writing.
How thick are your business cards?
From 13pt to 32pt. A point is a thousandth of an inch, so 16pt is 0.016″. Value cards are 14pt; Matte, UV Gloss and AQ are 16pt; laminated, Kraft Paper, Raised Spot UV and Metallic Foil are 18pt; Soft Touch is 19pt; Painted Edge is 32pt.
Do you have textured or raised business cards?
Yes. Linen cards have a woven texture, Kraft Paper cards a natural fibre look and Soft Touch cards a velvety feel. Raised Spot UV adds clear, raised gloss you can feel on your logo or text. For other effects, ask for a custom quote.
Can I print just one side, or only my logo on the back?
Yes. Most cards let you choose one or two printed sides, and the back can be anything you like, such as only your logo. Value, AQ, Writable AQ, Soft Touch and Raised Spot UV cards are always printed on both sides.
Can I pick up my business cards in Concord?
