Decals are single-sided pieces of paper that have a design on one side or two sides. The design can be transferred to a surface by heating it, soaking it in water, or applying a lot of pressure to it.
Labels & Stickers are a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material affixed to a container or product on which information or symbols about the product or item are written or printed.

Labels with a low tac index that are easily peeled off and leave no residue are an option. Non-porous surfaces can be labelled using clear labels that can be peeled off and reused. They may be moved around and reused.

Adhesively
Permanent labels permanently stick to the surface. Removing them may cause damage to labels or application surface.
Removable labels can be repositioned and removed without damaging the label or the application surface.
Custom Shape Labels
Any shape that is not a circle, oval, rectangle or square.
Diameter
For circle shaped labels, dimensions are measured by diameter in inches.
Finishing
Lamination is a clear, plastic film applied to labels for added durability.
Matte lamination offers a smooth and non-gloss finish.
Gloss lamination offers a glossy finish.
Wind
Refers to the direction that the label feeds off the roll.
Ink Color
White + CMYK: Choose this option for artwork where your artwork is CMYK but you also need to have a white color on a material that is itself not white (i.e. Silver and Clear Vinyl). The white ink can also be used as a special effect on your labels.
White Only: Only available with colored and Clear labels.
DESIGN GUIDELINES
Step 1
Ensure the file matches the product’s required dimensions. Ensure that the artwork is created in CMYK 300 dpi with 1/16 inch bleeds on all sides.
Step 2
Make sure that all images are embedded, and that all the text is outlined.
Step 3
Export all files into PDF format with bleeds.

How To Set Up Your Files
Custom Shapes
When submitting your artwork for custom shaped labels, prepare colour and design as you would any label file. Moreover, please include the shape dieline as a spot colour called ‘Dieline’. While preparing your dieline, keep note of the following:
Dieline must be its own layer with no other artwork in that layer
Dieline must be a single stroked (not filled) path; not a dashed line or series of lines making an overall shape
White Ink
If you select a White Ink option with your order, please supply a single file that includes CMYK (if necessary) and a spot colour called exactly White_Ink
Do not supply separate files for CMYK and White Ink
If you want white ink to print under a blue colour, you need to set either the blue shape or the White_Ink shape to overprint to achieve this.
You may also want to set a White_Ink shape to knockout so nothing prints on top of it. Remember to set overprints on any Dieline.
SPOT UV
If you select a Spot UV option with your order, please supply a single file that includes CMYK and a spot colour called exactly Spot-UV
Do not supply separate files for CMYK and Spot-UV
Black Ink Only
If you select Black Only option on your order, the file you supply should be K only (not CMYK or RGB) with a Dieline.
General File Preparation Guidelines

Be sure to DELETE any hidden layers that are not intended to print (ie: setup guide layers or other hidden artwork layers) to ensure no risk of them appearing on the final print.
Each job (including multiple paged projects) must be submitted as a single PDF file. Ensure that all pages are the same size.
Files must be submitted with proper orientation to ensure proper back up.
It is best to try to avoid using borders in your design. If a border is too close to the trim, the trim may be slightly off-centre.
File must consist of 1/8″ bleed and all important art and text must be within the safety margin.
Ensure that your PDF is high res and that all images are CMYK at 300 DPI.
Black type should have the following values: C0, M0, Y0, K100.
Embed or outline all fonts.
For best colour results, supply a CMYK only files.
